Trihedral Vase | ||
Use a square
of paper. If you wish to receive a vase of certain height, for example 30 cm (12-inch) in height, the initial square should be on one third more than desirable height, in this case you should take 40 cm (16-inch) square. Also it is possible to use a rectangle of paper, about A4 or Letter in size, to made a vase of other proportion. 1 Begin with a book fold. Valley fold the square in half. Press the paper flat, thereby completing the book fold. Unfold it completely. 2 Valley fold the left-hand side over to meet the vertical middle fold-line. Press it flat and unfold it. Repeat the same with the right-hand side. 3 Valley fold the bottom corners in to meet their adjacent fold-lines as shown, thereby making two triangles. Press them flat and unfold them. 4 Valley fold the bottom edge up over on a line between the top ends of the fold-lines made in the previous step. And unfold it. 5 Valley fold the bottom edge up to meet the horizontal fold-line made in the previous step. And unfold it. 6 Valley fold the left-hand edge over the fold-line made in the step 2. 7 First, valley fold the bottom left-hand
corner over to meet the adjacent fold-line as shown and unfold it. Then open the left
front flap. |
8 Valley fold the paper in half over the fold-line made in the step 1. |
