Use two identical squares of
paper.
Wings
1 Valley fold the opposite sides and edges together in turn
to mark the vertical and horizontal fold-lines, and open them up.
2 Turn the paper over. Valley fold the
opposite corners together in turn to mark the diagonal fold-line, and open it up. Repeat
this action for making the second diagonal.
3 Press the middle of fold-lines, until the sides pop up.
Bring the sides together and down towards you. Press the top down neatly.
4 Valley fold the front flap's lower corners over, to meet
the top corner. Press them flat and unfold them. Repeat it behind.
5 Valley fold the right-hand upper sloping edge over, so it
lies along the vertical middle line. Repeat it with the left-hand edge.
6 Lift the bottom corners up, to meet the top corner.
7 The result. Turn the model over.
8 Repeat steps 5-7. Valley fold the right-hand upper sloping
edge over, so it lies along the vertical middle line. Repeat it with the left-hand edge.
After that, lift the bottom corners up, to meet the top corner.
9 Valley fold and unfold the bottom part of model.
10 Valley fold two corners from top to bottom. Repeat behind.
11 Undertake forward two corners by one hand, and behind a
back two other hand and pull in the direction shown by the arrows. A pyramid from above
should turn out.
12 Top view.
13 Press the lateral sides of the pyramid by index fingers,
and move the forward layer back by thumbs.

14 This should be the result. Turn the model
over.
15 Open wings, as shown, give them a natural view.
16 Slightly fold the model along the central
line, including a looking out tail.
Now wings are ready.
Basis
1 Valley fold and unfold a sheet on diagonals.
Turn the paper over.
2 Valley fold and bottom corner to meet the center. Press it
flat and unfold it.
3 Step fold the paper using horizontal diagonal as
"mountain" and move it, so it lies along the fold-line made in previous step.
4 Valley fold the right-hand corner over, so it lies along the top sloping
edge. Repeat it with the left-hand corner.
5 Valley fold the sides, covering one another, so that the
bottom corner was divided into three equal parts.
6 Valley fold and unfold the model in half.
7 Valley fold the lower sloping edges over, so they lie along
the vertical middle line.
8 At first, mountain fold the top tip back After that,
mountain fold the two-layered point as shown, thereby making the future head of the
dragonfly, simultaneously valley fold the sides together toward you.
9 Curve the body of the dragonfly. Insert the wings under the
crease in the middle of the body.
