Use a square of paper. 1 Valley fold the paper strip in half from bottom to top. 2 Valley fold the bottom edge up to meet the fold-line made in step 1. 3 Valley fold the bottom edge up to meet the fold-line made in step 2. 4 Valley fold the top edge up to meet the fold-line made in step 1. And make the fold-marks as shown. 5 Make the fold-marks and 'valley' crease as shown. 6 Make the creases as shown. 7 Valley fold the paper in half and unfold it. 8 Valley fold the left and right edges to meet the middle fold-line and unfold them. 9 Divide the paper square into eight equal sections by valley folding.
10 Valley fold the right-hand edge over to meet the adjacent horizontal fold-line. Being careful to press the paper only to meet the vertical fold-line as shown. 11 Valley fold the right-hand edge to the left along existing fold-line. |
12 Valley fold the layers of the right-hand edge over to meet the adjacent horizontal fold-line as shown. 13 Open out the right-hand flap. 14 Repeat steps 12-13 for other fragments. 15 Divide the top of square into 16 equal sections by valley folding as shown. 16 Make 'valley' folds in each small squares. The fold-line passes from the right top corner in middle of the basis. 17 Step fold the paper as shown. 18 Form the 'valley' and 'mountain' folds along the existing fold-lines as shown. 19 The result. 20 Bring the left- and right-hand sides around and together as shown in the next step. 21 Insert one section of the left-hand side inside the right-hand side on the bottom of the model. At the same time, in the middle of the model, insert one section of the left-hand side inside the right-hand side, thereby making the model three-dimensional. 22 Mountain fold the top
edge of the model, thereby making the lock of the model. 23 Bottom view. Begin
folding from a double layer, imposing one crease on another. 24 The closed bottom. 25 Vase is ready! |
